Our honing service is the perfect solution for daily shavers and heirloom razors alike. Whether you want bring your razor back to shave ready condition or need guidance on how to hone your razor, we are committed to helping you get the most from your wet shave experience.
What straight razors can be honed
- We can sharpen/hone any straight razor in good condition and made by a reputable manufacturer!

How to prepare your straight razor
- Describe your straight razor in as much detail as possible. Details such as recent damage, and the name of the maker or manufacturer are helpful.
- Clean and dry the blade and apply a coat of light oil, close it in the scales, and wrap it in bubble wrap.
- Print your email receipt and enclose it with your razor. Mail your razor.

- Your razor will be in the shop for up to 3-5 days.
- Once honing is complete, you will receive an email confirmation and a tracking number. If you order a honing service with other products, we will ship them all together.
Return shipping will be paid at checkout. The checkout price does not include shipping for delivery to our shop and is the responsibility of the buyer. If a blade cannot be honed to shaving sharp for any reason upon inspection, we will not hone your straight razor and refund the cost of the service less the cost of return shipping.
If we receive the razor and there is: Soap, Hair, Blood etc. on the razor. Your order will be refunded, and the razor sent back. In case of refund due to a dirty blade, the customer is liable for the return shipping.
Any potential customs or import duties for receiving the razor are the responsibility of the buyer.
The Shave Authority is not responsible for loss or damage during transit (both ways).
