Shave Ready

We take great care in offering a wide variety of finish options, ensuring that there's something to meet every individual's need and preference.

All razors have their bevels set and are then honed on a progression of synthetic whetstones up to 8k. They are subsequently finished based on the specific requirement of each customer.

JNAT Finish

The razor will be honed on a level 5 hardness and level 5+ fineness JNAT whetstone (Nakayama or Ozakiyama) using a #1200 Atoma plate, to generate slurry, before finishing on water only.

Individuals who are looking for ultimate comfort, or plan on maintaining their razor using a JNAT whetstone, should choose this option.

Synthetic Finish

The razor will be honed on a Suehiro Koseki (1µ) synthetic whetstone using water only and are then stropped on a progression of diamond paste impregnated balsa wood strops (0.5µ, 0.25µ & 0.1µ).

Individuals who are looking for ultimate keenness, or plan on maintaining their razor using a synthetic whetstone or "The Method," should choose this option.

Stropping

The final step for all finish options is stropping the blade on a Kanoyama cordovan strop for the ultimate smooth shaving experience.
