Shave Ready

We take great care in offering a wide variety of finish options, ensuring that there's something to meet every individual's need and preference.

All razors have their bevels set and are then honed on a progression of synthetic Shapton Glass whetstones (up to 8k). They are subsequently finished based on the specific requirement of each customer.

JNAT Finish

The "Natural" option will get honed on a level 5 hardness and level 5+++ fineness JNAT whetstone using a #1200 Atoma plate or matching Tomonagura to slurry the stone before finishing on water only.

Individuals who are looking for a comfortable shaving experience, or plan on maintaining their razor using JNAT whetstone, should choose this option.

Synthetic Finish

The "Synthetic" option will get honed on a Suehiro Kouseki (1µ) synthetic whetstone using water only.

Individuals who are looking for a very crisp and keen edge, or plan on maintaining their razor using a synthetic whetstone, should choose this option.

Diamond Finish

The "Diamond" option will get stropped on a progression of diamond paste impregnated balsa wood strops (0.5µ, 0.25µ & 0.1µ) after the Suehiro Kouseki (1µ) synthetic whetstone.

Individuals who are looking for ultimate keenness, or plan on maintaining their razor using "The Method", should choose this option.

ChrOx Finish

The "ChrOx" option will get stropped on a chromium oxide impregnated balsa wood strop after the 0.25µ diamond paste impregnated balsa wood strop.

Individuals who want a highly keen edge that still retains some comfort, or plan on maintaining their razor using pasted strops, should choose this option.

Stropping

The final step for all finish options is stropping the blade on a Kanoyama cordovan strop for the ultimate smooth shaving experience.
